Thanks to the sold out crowd at the second annual NWRL Mystery Dinner Theater, we have reached our goal for e-book fundraising! Thank you Airmont Florist, First Baptist Church of Mount Airy, Friends of the Mount Airy Public Library and the Alleghany County Public Library, Granite City Florist, the local actors who donated their time and talent, Mount Airy Public Library Board of Trustees, Northwestern Regional Library Board, Northwestern Regional Library staff members, caterer Sue Cook and her staff, director Jane Tesh, and playwright Vicky Town.
For the first time Northwestern Regional Library has digital local history items on www.digitalnc.org. The Digital Heritage Center supports community engagement and lifelong learning by promoting and increasing access of the historical collections and North Carolina’s cultural heritage through digitization. The Center is supported by the State Library of North Carolina, with funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library and Services and Technology Act, and by the UNC-Chapel Hill University Library.
NWRL is proud to launch the year long Geek the Library campaign. This community-based campaign will raise the awareness of the importance of library funding. Stop by your local NWRL branch and see what we're geeking!
